Amazing app
I think this app has everything that you need to create your list.
It has a large item selection however, you can also create items if it's not listed.
You can invite people to your list and make separate lists for yourself that will help you to categorise for your home or your workplace.
Personally, I don't use the inspiration option, but it is a good thing to have and as I saw many people use that section too.

Definitely improving …
If you're looking for a detailed shopping list that takes care of everything (shops, prices, brands, etc.), this isn't for you. However, it works exceptionally well as a replacement for simple shopping lists most people use every day.
Also, the app is definitely improving. Though it still lacks the option to add user defined language by translating + renaming existing items. In case you're not from a country using those languages in the list, the app is practically handicapped.
All you can do is add your own items (which is surprisingly easy) and then configure them (which unsurprisingly isn't). You have to move them to appropriate category (no rename here either, nor new ones can be added) and replace the default first letter icon with factory default items. This is a tedious task.
On the other hand, if you are from one of those countries, you'll find it to be pretty good.
Best in it’s category
I’m using this app since 2 years now, and I cannot imagine to use anything else other than this. It has all the function we need, the shared list option is flawless (you can even send “messages” to the other person through the app). But most importantly this is a free app. I can recommend this app to everyone.
