With its friendly approach and awesome updates, Duolingo’s long been one of our favorite apps for learning another language. Its secret: making the process genuinely fun. Engaging mini-games test your reading, writing, and speaking skills, and joining a club (where you can encourage and compete with others) adds a great social element. Bonus: all those languages and games are available for free!

Learning made easy (just don’t miss your daily lessons)

Love this app, so helpful, very easy to learn whenever and wherever, just don’t forget to do your daily lessons.

It’s simple yet effective, just don’t miss your daily lessons. Seriously I can’t stress this enough, do, not, miss your daily lessons. Mom, dad, i love you guys and I promise we’ll see each other again, I’m already on a 5 day streak, hopefully things will work out.

Again, don’t forgot to do your lessons.

This game is a lot of fun. Provides fun ways to learn languages.
The audio tracks are quiet accurate, I can’t complain about the pronounciation and I like the way they mix the native speakers with a little bit of accent.

Although this game is a sidekick of language learning (‘cuz of course you can study way better with books and an actual teacher) it misses some logical features.
For example I’ve been learning Russian, but the Alphabet stage doesn’t really reflect a correct way to memorize it. Instead it gives you sentences to work with. Anyway this is not crucial for everyone (I could also learn the alphabet with external help).
The other thing I’m missing from this app is a way to check how the different cases and tenses work in a certain language. I mean the way how should I change a word with affixes especially if a language has masculine feminine and neuter nouns.

I wont get into the micro transactions that allows you to buy energy to move on if you’ve given a wrong answer, because in a way it can be bypassed with a method called “practice” which is a extremely useful “tool”.

Last thought: the game sometimes does not make sense in the progress, whats the purpose of teaching the plural form before the numbers?

To sum it up, this game is a great and productive way to kill time, if you have nothing to do.
