# Disable Screen Dimming
EpocCam automatically dims your device’s display to save power. If you’d prefer to keep an eye on your video preview at all times, you can now disable this behavior. Just tap the gear icon to enter preferences where you’ll find the new Screen Dimming setting.

Good alternative to internal webcam

There are two issues:
- Windows service should be restarted before usage
- There is no option to select computer when I use more than one in same network.

Sometimes hard to connect

Once connected, then it works well even with an iPhone 5S in 2023! Connection might be a struggle sometimes, but at the end I always make it.
