Description

This app offers easy access to select content from the Association of Ontario Midwives' Clinical Practice Guidelines on Group B Streptococcus - Group B Streptococcus: Prevention and Management in Labour (2010) and Group B Streptococcus: Postpartum Management of the Neonate (2014).

While midwives outside Ontario are welcome to use this tool, as well as other maternity care providers, some information may be specific to the Ontario context. Users of the app are strongly encouraged to refer to the clinical practice guidelines for a complete analysis of the research relevant to GBS and midwifery practice, as well as full citations.

This app is intended as a reference tool for clinicians and is not intended to dictate a course of care. Proper use of this tool requires awareness of your client’s clinical circumstances and needs and values, as well as familiarity with your local circumstances and standards of practice.

The development of this app was generously supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
