Description
Operate devices compatible with BlueSecur using the Hörmann BlueSecur app.
You can send permissions (keys) to family or friends, for example, via text message, e-mail or messenger. You don’t even have to be home to send a key, since keys are transmitted via a certified server in Germany. Manage your keys right in the app.
The BlueSecur app must be installed on your mobile phone ahead of time. If a user hasn’t installed the app, they will be forwarded to the app store.
Information on the BlueSecur app:
- Add a device by scanning the QR code.
- Setup and operation do not require an Internet connection.
- Permissions (keys) are created on the administrator’s app, can be issued either temporarily or permanently and can also be deleted.
- Sets of keys are subject to a fee. One-time keys are free of charge.
- Max. 250 users
- Optionally, you can use an external antenna should you have range issues.
Using Bluetooth in the background of your mobile phone reduces its battery life.

Can it be added to Apple CarPlay?
The app is great, however a great advancement would be if the app would be visible in Apple Carplay so when I park in or out of my garage, I wouldn't have to open the app everytime

Thank You for Your Response. We are checking the possibility of integrating the App in Apple Car Play. At this Moment the reliable Signal Transmission between Car and Smartphone is a big Problem.

Works, but widget still contains bugs (under-financed software development?)
It works well, but CarPlay function is still missing. (Don’t understand why the “stable connection between car and phone” is an issue, if all other apps work.)
But, when we use the widget, it sometimes opens and closes later. So gate opens uncontrolled. Just because we click the widget while the connection to the gate is not working. I got a promise that it will be fixed in a few months. Still waiting. I’m wondering how much Hörmann really spends on this app development, but it seems it is not a priority.

Hello Sh0men,
the BlueSecur App gets a Connection to the Garage door Opener via Bluetooth. That's why You have to do a certain procedure while using the Widget. Apple Car Play is like You read it, the Connection between the Car, the App and maybe Widgets or a Smartwatch have to be settled. With this the Smartphones are overwhelmed.
We still try to bring this in the Future.

Key sharing problems
Unfortunately I can not share any key using this Bluesecure app, however I paid for 5 user. The app shows the new user but he hasn’t got any e-mail or key in his app. When I started to use this app it was working, so I could share a key with my wife, but the sharing function no longer working.
It seems I paid for a product which is full of bugs.
