HUDWAY Go helps you drive safer in fog, rain, heavy snow, in dusk and darkness.

Set your destination, select the route and place your phone on the dash — to see the route reflected on your windshield. Keep your eyes on the road and know in advance what’s ahead — a straight run, or a sharp turn. The dark windy unknown roads become more predictable this way.

Features:
- Easy-to-follow 3D route view
- Classic map view
- Heads-up (HUD) mode available for both the map and the 3D route iews
- Customizable voice assistant
- Speed limits and speed cam alerts
- A sum-up of fuel consumption and cost for each trip
- A selection of trip widgets, like ETA, speed, distance traveled, directions on the next manoeuvre, etc.
- Alternative routes and stopovers
- Favorite locations, personal records, driving score, weekly and monthly statistics, and more

Note: Any issues found or suggestions you're willing to share — shoot us an email right from the app.

We have auto-renewing subscriptions for the premium features in the app. And here's how they work:

— We have 1-month, 3-months, 6-months, 1-year and lifetime subscriptions.
— Your iTunes account is charged at confirmation of purchase
— If you want to cancel the renewal, be sure to do it 24-hours before subscription expires: within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period your account is automatically charged for renewal
— You can actually cancel the auto-renewal right after you've purchased the subscription: the subscription you've paid for won't cancel, but you won't be charged for the next period when it ends.

We thought you'd like to know that:

1. On a clear day, your phone screen may not be able to produce a legible reflection.

This is when you can use the app in a regular mode with the phone fixed in a mount. At night, in dusk, or in dull weather the reflection is normally well-discernible.

2. When driving, make sure that your smartphone or tablet is firmly fixed, and doesn't obstruct your view of the road.

3. Just as any other other navigation app, HUDWAY Go extensively uses GPS which may quickly drain your phone battery.

If you're willing to get yourself a HUD that works day&night, shows your speed, directions, messenger notifications and incoming calls — all while your phone stays in your pocket, check out our HUDWAY Drive device at hudway.co/drive

What’s New

Version 5.3.4

— We've revamped how speed limits are handled. Now, they're sourced from newer and more detailed databases.
— Also, we've fixed an issue where street names weren't displaying correctly.
— And we've cleaned up the trip visualization for a smoother experience. Say goodbye to separate widgets for route recalculation and map loading, and enjoy an updated finish screen.
— Now, enjoy a more informative mountain driving experience with the inclinometer display during trips.
— Stay updated on the weather and your altitude while on the road: we've added both to your trip info data
— In your trip history, you'll now see altitude changes and weather details during each journey.

The long road ahead

Hi! While waiting for my Hudway Glass to arrive, I downloaded the accompanying apps already, and did a bit of testing. I must say, I am very enthusiastic about this app, although at this point, it seems to be developed to max 30% of its true potential. A very long road still lies ahead for you guys:), but I hope you will get there, as the result could be truly worthy. I rarely post any reviews, but I really-really want to see this system work as it should :), so I took the time to share my experiences, in the hope that these improvements could be implemented real soon (before the big nav companies come out with their HUD mode, and your window narrows).

The “ring” around the speedometer on the left side should be dynamically limited to the maximum allowed speed on the actual road we are on at that moment. E.g. if I’m on a highway, it should max out at 130 km/h. If I’m inside a residential area, then at 50, etc. If I go faster, it should change color and warn me. I don’t understand its current logic, but it doesn’t reflect reality.
It should be able to warn me if I am speeding, visually and audibly, based on the road speed limit, and also warn me for speed cameras.
The ETA readout is completely false. I’m guessing it always judges based on my speed at that given moment, and assumes that I will maintain that speed all along. It doesn’t take into account that if I go on the highway, I will be traveling 3x as fast. It should think ahead, based on my route and the max speed limits throughout the route.
If I divert from the suggested route, the screen starts flashing, and wants me to make a U turn for much too long, instead of just quickly recalculating a new route, like every other app does.
App occasionally freezes after deleting a route, and going back to the top down map view.
It should show me the total remaining length of the route too (in km, and time as well), not just ETA. Navmii solved this in a smart way, with the data changing every couple of seconds, but only occupying the same space on screen.
In 2017, no nav app can live without live traffic awareness. It should factor it in my route, and update it live every couple of minutes. It’s all very nice that maps are offline, but my guess is that in the vast majority of the cases, users would be happy to sacrifice some data usage for live traffic and rerouting. At least make it optional, so it can be switched to online mode.
The data should be more evenly organized across the screen, as now everything is skewed to the left, while there is nothing on the right. E.g. distance/ETA readouts could be on one side, and speed and speed cameras/warnings on the other side. Also, all readouts would be better if they were a bit larger.

The true USP of this app is that it shows the curving of the road ahead, which is a good advantage over other, overall better performing apps. However, several improvements still need to be made before this app can match its more established competition. Looking forward to seeing it get there! :)

Developer Response ,

Hi! Thank you very much for so detailed feedback. We really appreciate that. Of course, we still on the development process and continue work on our app improvements. Some features as you have mentioned in your feedback just wait for its turn to be implemented some of them in the implementing process. Probably our features realization will be in a different way compared to your suggestion but anyway you did the big job, such detailed feedback is extremely important because sometimes we need new ideas or different points of view to move on and become better and better. Feel free to contact us at support@hudwayapp.com if you have any questions. or suggestion. Cheers!

Would have been better

Guys,
Perfect idea and design, but unfortunatelly it does not take me to the right address....so what should i do with it. I’ve payed for the one year premium, the fee was deducted from my account, but still got the free version capabilities.
The best way for Your SWto be a visualization of a much better navigation app like Waze. I would pay for Your app visual with the waze capabilities!
Think about it!
