Ratings and Reviews
No play
Within the application, the playback is not working. I can browse on the main page, but it doesn't work with a Samsung projector or an iPhone either. I am disappointed.
Lacking basic functions
It is the 3rd HBO app in the last couple of years (you can call the service whatever you want to) and has the same issues as the other two. I cannot pause with the space bar or skip back with the arrow keys on my €350 iPad keyboard… This function was part of every video player since the 90’s. New colors and a new name is not a new app. I could get this content from a to****t site too for free, it is not even illegal in Europe if you don’t upload it; just saying… If I were you, I’d start to put more effort in, like, very soon!

Scam
So the HBO Max subscription switches into a “standard” subscription which means you can not watch in 4K anything from now on. But if you switch to “premium” you end up losing your “lifetime deal” which was given back when HBO Max started.
That means you have to pay almost TWICE the price just so you can watch your shows in the same quality you did until now. And I didn’t even mentioned yet the tons content that they just deleted, so you have to pay more to choose from lesser shows.
This is really just a huge downgrade behind a paywall. Absolute scam, shame on you!
