It was such a great, minimal app
I used this on my old mac, I just upgraded to a new one, and so did this app. This new one doesn't look like the image in the app store previews. It has two gigantic scrollbars that are always visible, very ugly, and it has an extra column on the left, like an extra sidebar, which isn't possible to hide. The UI just got a lot more complex and ugly. Is there a way to download an older version?
It WAS a great app
The program was very usable and relatively stable... The last few updates have introduced a lot of bugs.
The first worst thing is that the minimum window size has become huge... Who needs folders to be visible all the time? This should be turned off! In the same way, many people often don't need to see the name and preview next to the chat heads, the profile picture is enough! Please return the compact view!!!
Then in several places you have to double or triple click on a button or text box to activate it... When sending message responses, sliders are active that shouldn't be.
Please fix it as soon as possible!
I hate the fact that it's this bad
I don't know what's up with Meta considering the optimization of this app but it's sooo bad. If I try to scroll in conversation it's extremely laggy and horrible to use. Sometimes the app takes a really long time to load which is quite frustrating. Pictures aren't loading properly, all in all a very poor user experience especially compared to the mobile version which has been performing great over the years. I would love to see some improvements to this app. I'm using an M1 Macbook Air which should definitely be able to run this app without any issues at all.
