Cooking Diary® Restaurant Game

Chef, time to cook tasty food!

View

Grandpa’s just given you the keys to his restaurant in Tasty Hills, and now you’re in charge. What do you do first?

That’s the premise of Cooking Diary, a cook ‘em up with a gently sentimental storyline and a knowing glint in its eye.

It’s just so relentlessly cheerful and wholesome! The characters all have that old-school cartoon feel, and the backstory of your family-run diner reveals itself in equally charming fashion.

Cheesy, good-natured fun for all.

So there’s a story to tuck into, but mostly you’ll keep busy serving punters by tap-tap-tapping to meet their orders. Prod a beef patty to throw it on the grill, and while it cooks, another tap starts pouring the drinks. Then with a few more moves, you go back to assemble your burger, grab your coke and serve a hungry businesswoman. Or that guy who orders fries and crisps for lunch.

The difficulty comes in where orders become more complex, the restaurant gets busy and customers get grumpy. So it’s perfectly apt that you’re spinning plates all the time, and when you’re done with service, you can spend your earnings on a fancy new stove or even a helping hand in the kitchen.

Cooking Diary’s squeaky-clean fun is like a made-for-TV movie: gloriously cheesy and – frankly – just the tonic to cheer up a dreary day or dull night on the sofa.
