About help button

Hi! This game is amazing and fun and I'm in love with it yes, though there is something that slightly bothered me. I have played lots of songs but every song that I play I always struggle on the long notes. I try to go to the help button (the question mark at the top left) to find how to do long notes but there wasn't anything about when to stop pressing the screen. I try to stop pressing the button right after the note but I got lots of misses from trying that and I try to stop right at the end of the long note but I also got some misses from doing that.

(Sorry if this is a dumb question, I guess I'm just bad at the game lmao. Also sorry if I said something wrong and it was offensive, I'm not good with words and I apologize if I offended you in anyway)
