Being marooned on an island could be cause for despair – or time for a party! In BTS Island, you’re washed ashore along with cute avatars of the Korean boyband. Solve puzzles to collect stars, which you can use to build shelter, as well as set up a hammock on the beach and a parasol for cool shade by the water’s edge. It’s time to turn this unexpected trip into a surprise holiday.
All seven BTS members were personally involved with designing their in-game avatars. Before we set sail, here’s a quick look at who they are and what they have in store on this tropical trip.
RM: the trustworthy leader
What you should know: Like all good leaders, RM is thoughtful and level-headed. When the group is shipwrecked, he steps up and takes charge, leading the others calmly through unchartered territory. But this capable leader has a secret that the others don’t know about yet!
Don’t miss: Based on the star’s request that he appear genuinely irritated, RM’s angry expression is rendered realistically.
Jin: the optimistic one
What you should know: You can always count on Jin to cheer everyone up. Beaming with positivity, he gives his fellow BTS members hope and strength to carry on despite the difficulties they face. He’s also an amazing cook, offering support to the others in the form of a hearty meal.
Don’t miss: Jin’s signature plump lips are perfectly recreated in the game.
SUGA: the chill one
What you should know: SUGA reminds us that sometimes, you need to stop worrying and just relax. He can usually be found lounging on the beach, unbothered by his bandmates’ complaints. He may seem a little too cool at first, but you’ll find that deep down he’s as sweet as they come.
Don’t miss: SUGA said that he loves how his in-game self captured his chill expression.
J-hope: the lively one
What you should know: The band’s energetic choreographer, J-hope is usually humming as he busies himself with his tasks on the island. He’s enthusiastic about everything he does, from dancing to putting up decorations.
Don’t miss: The game has perfectly captured J-hope’s expression when he sulks, right down to the shape of his pouting lips.
Jimin: the charmer
What you should know: When you’re feeling down, Jimin is there to comfort you, cheer you up and help you put it all behind you. He puts his charisma to good use by bringing everyone together and keeping spirits high.
Don’t miss: Jimin wanted to appear cute in the game, which is why he suggested adding the rosy blush to his character’s cheeks.
V: the pure-hearted one
What you should know: The unfortunate turn of events hardly fazes V; he quickly accepts the island as his new home and does his best to make it comfortable for everyone. He’s fascinated with angels, and even verbally asks them to come to his aid.
Don’t miss: V has the most expressive face of all the characters, and his unusual giggle is based on the star’s real-life laugh.
Jung Kook: the baby brother
What you should know: Jung Kook may be the baby of the bunch, but he’s up for anything! Putting up a hammock, lighting a fire, angling for fish – if it needs doing, Jung Kook is there to take care of it. He’s proactive and keen, especially if the others are there with him.
Don’t miss: Jung Kook is known for his deep dark eyes, which is why his character has the biggest peepers of all.
