Ratings and Reviews
Very useful
Even for a regular to Amsterdam, this app is invaluable. GPS to avoid roaming is wonderful although the iOS compass for directional information should be taken with a pinch of salt as its never quite right.
The ability to add your own POIs is nice and a community feature to share POIs would be a great improvement and addition to the full feature as the 2 euros or more to get the GPS enabled map app is a touch on the harsh side. All in all the coat is still worth it - for the Amsterdam veteran or first timer.
I wish every city did this
Just back from Amsterdam, and have to say this was a great app. Really made getting around very easy. It has one of those useful maps that most hotels give you on arrival, with all the tourist spots highlighted. It also provides useful info on each place. The GPS feature helps getting from one to the next (especially for the geographically challenged, like me!).
I wish they were more upfront about this 'free' app though - most of it's benefit comes from the GPS feature, which costs E2.39 to unlock. The positioning sometimes took a while to settle down as well, while other times was completely spot on.
Overall an app I wish that every city with an interest in tourism would emulate. Well done!
Poor
Unless you upgrade to the full version, this app is useless! If you can't select the place you want in the free version, then it becomes completely pointless. Boo!
