Can just remove the screen time in settings
Decent app but it’s too easy to remove. Even in “strict mode” you can still just go into settings and disallow screen time to turn it off. For a phone addict like me this is too easy to remove!

Avoid
Worked fine for me and then completely stopped working and wouldn’t block anything. Deleted the app and reinstalled (kept subscription) and when I tried to use it again it didn’t recognise my existing subscription and wouldn’t block unless I paid again.

Worked before the update
App worked great before they updated the UI. Since then, the app doesn’t block apps using VPN, instead it just puts a blocked notice up before you get into the app. Because of this, I can’t block specific websites.

Hi, With AppBlock 2.0+iOS16, we decided to go for the most efficient technologies available now. We use a native Safari extension, which is the most reliable solution. We suggest blocking other browsers like apps, so you can stay focused on what is important. We were able to block websites across all browsers in the previous versions of AppBlock using a VPN. But it was an unstable solution which cause our users a lot of problems, so we decided to go VPN-less solution, and this is way more stable, which makes us and our users happy. We may add support for other browsers later, when this becomes an option, but for now this made the most sense. If you are experiencing problems blocking specific sites on Safari, please contact us at apple@appblock.app, so that we can look into it. Please consider giving us a few more stars if you are happy with the app otherwise.
