Poor piece of software
The concept behind 360 Field is good - the execution is poor.
The interface is a mess, with inconsistent UI and nothing that ties into the iOS experience.
I use 360 Field because I have to at work, and it integrates with the webApp. But, given the choice, I would almost try anything else.
AutoDesk need to go back to the drawing board and look at how people actually use iPads and what people actually need out of an App like this.
A companion iPhone App (that supports NFC) is also long overdue.
Site Engineer
Really, really awful. Adamantly advise to use alternative software to Autodesk BIM 360.
As admin, I have options to edit my subcontractor permissions to either
a) only view checksheets and issues - not be able to sign off on these within their own acc (currently have to sign ‘subcontractor’ signature tab within my profile, therefore rendering the entire point of the software as pointless i.e. no barrier to prevent them from claiming plagiarism on signatures)
b) give full permission to sign off, edit and delete all signatures, all attachments, all comments, all data etc...
How am I supposed to sign off my QAQC requirements?
Also, this app version filters issues by company, location, author, etc etc but doesn’t for checksheets...... this is such a basic function, and very poor design and needlessly time consuming and frustrating for me as main contractor.
WORST OF ALL...... This was sent to the Autodesk Help team, which eventually replied that they hope to include in future versions.
Do not invest in this software.
Rubbish
Crashes in the model model. Attachments to issues (photographs) and location pins get corrupted for no reason. Support has no fix for this issue! Unreliable and not suitable for professional use. Fine as a viewer of the model and storing drawings for use on site.
