What does free mean to you?

I am a pensioner and sometimes need help with simple adding and subtraction - nothing fancy. So I’m looking for a simple app. I opened this one, and immediately was informed that I will be automatically charged for opening it. I deleted it straight away, and will be freaking furious if you dare to charge my pathetic bank account with any charges. Don’t You Dare. You advertised this as a Free App, with add-on purchases - I’m telling you : it isn’t an add-on to blinking well open the blasted thing. I’m furious with you. And sick of this truth-bending world you lot are growing. I’ve given one star because you will insist I play by your rules.

Delighted to receive a response to my rant. I am mistaken - the APP IS FREE apparently there’s a way to by-pass the agreement to pay. That being the case . . . Pensioners should be safe ! The response sounded honest and sincere ☺️

That message about being charged? It sounds like it may have been a free trial prompt, but I completely understand how it could feel like a bait-and-switch. We absolutely don’t charge anyone unless they actively choose to subscribe, and I promise your bank account is safe—no surprise charges here.

You deserve a simple, no-hassle tool for your adding and subtracting, and we’ll do better to make things clearer upfront. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and I hope we can win back your trust down the road. 😊

Learning secondary school things and primary school things when I am not there...

This calculator app is great for learning everything in maths. An improvement is that we shall stop the paying to get the fractions and currency calculator. I can learn secondary school maths and primary school maths though! This is a good app.

Was a good App. But they started putting Ads in it every few mins. That’s no good when I’m trying to add up measurements or money fast when I’m trying to solve a problem. It used to work fine but these adds have ruined it cause they make me loose track of where I am with solving the problem. No Good Adds don’t belong with stupid! If I’m trying to solve a problem that takes a few calculations I don’t need to be interrupted and forced to watch a add about Coffee!!!
