Clear Spaces provides you with a wealth of customisation options allowing you to create Basic Transparent Spaces, with the option to add Widget overlays to display quick information such as Weather, Now Playing and Time / Date. Clear Spaces also allows you to add quotes and stickers to your Home Screen. With the ability to make multiple Clear Spaces Styles, you can add all your different wallpapers into Clear Spaces and change your widgets with a tap, or automate it all with a Shortcut. Clear Spaces also takes customisation to the Lock Screen with Transparent Spaces on the Lock Screen to allow you to move your widgets wherever you want.

Brilliant
Brilliant little app! Exactly what I was looking for.
Great in theory not in practice
The idea of using clear widgets to free up the top half of your screen is great in theory. However, in practice, I found that the clear widgets have a slight dark shadow underneath them where the title of a widget/app usually goes and that is noticeable against the background. Moreover the widgets show up during the transitions when you swipe from one page to the next or when you unlock your phone and it makes it look a little like your phone is glitching.
Some people may be able to look past that however I found the appearance really unslightly and I was not expecting it to look like that. Wish that was disclosed as part of the app’s description…
Poor
Poor instructions and useless widgets that don’t refresh - nor do anything. Time and Date widget has no date and the Time is an ugly clock that never refreshes
Weather widget shows 0 degrees and, whaddaya know: it doesn’t do anything. Get it for blank spaces
Don’t get it for any kind of widget that actually widgets.
