Only allows 3 time slots per day

The UX could do with a refresh. Main area of contention is the fact you can only have 3 pre-programmed heating slots per day per zone. I’d like to have 30 mins in the morning, 30 mins before coming home from work, 30 mins in late evening and 30 mins before bed. Climote for some bizarre reason only allows 3 slots.

My old analog timer panel from the 80s allowed more pre-programmed time slots. Every house is different and users should be able to properly programme their house to their own needs. When I queried climote on this they said users can boost via the app. Ironically, for the most part it’s actually quicker for me to go to the control panel and do this manually, rather than using the app. Nearly completely defeats the premise the system.

Is this not an easy update and surely I’m not the first person to ask?

Very disappointed visually impaired user

Hi, after reading quite a number of the comments, I feel I am wasting my time writing this as I may be falling on deaf is I today, just had installed the Climote and am a visually impaired user of the app. I’m not sure if there’s any other users out there who are in visually impaired, but you will have noticed it is absolutely useless to those who are. I have contacted Climote themselves who they themselves say electric Ireland are responsible and contacted electric Ireland who intern say Climote are responsible. My belief is the developer is responsible. I have had my iPhone for just over four years and have not once had a problem with any app I’ve downloaded that the built in voice over/screen reader could not read, but in this case I have come up against it for the first time and I’m very disappointed I really do hope that these issues can be fixed and look forward to the future as I seen on the reviews people had problems logging in and I already have today and heard a suggestion of fingerprint which would be brilliant thanks Mark Gibbons

Good idea but terrible functionality

This app has huge potential but either Climote aren’t too bothered (most likely) or the developer is a 12 year kid operating out of his parent’s bedroom. Either way, it’s a shame. This app should be designed around the premise of ease of use. Switching your heating on and off should not be too much of an effort but Climote make it so that it is. The app constantly logs you out so you have to manually log in almost every time (where’s Touch/Face ID developer?!). Also you can only have one user logged in at a time so if your partner wants to control it then they have to go through the silly log before they can do so. At this time of year (Autumn) this is a much used app and the potential is huge. Unfortunately Climote don’t really seem too bothered about the whole thing!
