Ratings and Reviews
Videos good, navigation could be better
I do most of my anime viewing on Crunchyroll via this app, and have absolutely no issues with video quality. It’s good.
What I don’t like is that I can’t sort my list on the app, and that it takes a while when I open it to populate any content. My list and my history are both empty.
Not a pleasant experience - I’d prefer a holding screen that acknowledges the app is loading without frightening me all my content has been lost.
Good overall
It’s a good app with a fair amount of free content to watch, the only problem is the subtitles. When I press on in the setting before I watch something it goes to the language chosen but when your watching content the subtitles don’t show up and when you go to the setting while watching it says that subtitles/CC is off.
Also if your going to upload a tv series/anime/Korean drama and so on please upload the all content from the 1st season and onwards, because it quite frustrating I can’t enjoy the first couple of season of Fairy Tail and other contents on Crunchyroll, there seem to still be room for improvement!
Garbage app, even though I’m a premium member
If it wasn’t the only place to watch anime, I’d have switched long ago. There are so many issues with this service, and server crashes happen at least 4 times a week. I’ve had to delete and reinstall so many times due to login issues, and the pause button breaks if you fast forward too much. The queue/currently watching list is extremely buggy. The app looks and feels outdated. The list goes on and on... But the reality is, Crunchyroll doesn’t care enough to fix server-side issues because it knows customers have no other choice. If there are other services out there that offer the same portfolio of content that Crunchyroll offers, please let me know! I’m not sure if dealing with these issues is even worth the trade off.
