Perfect apart from occasional glitch

It's an great app, so user friendly and easy to both buy and sell. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it can be a bit glitchy sometimes, I lost a €60 sale because I couldn't reply to someone's message and had no other way to contact them. Once the glitches are cleared up it'll be perfect! They do take a cut of what you earn but it's a small amount, between Depop and PayPal I think it comes in at around 12% which I don't think is too much. If you've anything you don't use it's the perfect place to make a bit of money, better than sitting in the wardrobe for years!

Could do better

They allow sellers to post items at a ridiculously low price, but the seller is allowed to say you can’t buy at that price. Which means when you do a search you are not getting returns which truly match your search based on the price selection you make. Sellers should be bound by the price they post, unless they are open to offers below that price. Another weakness is you can’t organise the search results by lowest to highest price or by date of listing. So you end up having to scroll down listing after listing of previously seen results. They allow sellers to change the date of the listing even if it has been actively listed for a long time, so it looks like is was recently listed. It’s a mess. The seller pages don’t organise themselves, so you can be on a seller’s page having to scroll through right to the bottom because sold items don’t automatically move down the page.

Good, but needs work!

I have been using depop for a few years now and as both a buyer and seller I find it to be an amazing tool! However the app itself tends to be very buggy, and glitches often which is very frustrating. Also depop takes a cut from your profit which is understandable, but what they don’t tell you is that PayPal does as well. So a lot of the time there’s almost no point in listing certain items as after packaging + postage costs, and depop + PayPal taking a large percentage of your profit, you’re not left with much! This can be really frustrating, and a lot of customers are unaware of this factor when it comes to pricing. So much work goes into running a successful shop and keeping your customers happy with reasonable prices, and it’s very disheartening no being able to reap the rewards in the end.
