EBS Authenticator 4+

I have just had the misfortune to try to set up an online account with EBS. If you value your mental health, please don’t try to do it. It is the worst app in the entire universe. You watch this little circle going around and around for days - yes, that’s right, I left their authenticator app running for a whole weekend to see if it would ever stop and it didn’t. Do not, under any circumstances, ever even think of getting an EBS current account. After several weeks and multiple conversations with very nice but totally useless IT staff, you will be removed to a mental institution and you will never, ever get through to your current account. I am being deadly serious. The EBS online banking system is a disease, it is worse than coronavirus. No normal human being can access it and their staff flounder around pretending they love their job and you can hear they hate the whole catastrophic mess and would quit the EBS if they could get alternative employment. The EBS app is crap. By the way, I have to give one star in order that this message can get through to them, but I would rather give them a big fat zero.

This app is so out of date it really is a joke. It crashes as soon as opens and then won’t let you log in to re register details.

It not only make the whole process harder but it is not fit for purpose and function and would make you question why in this day and age a financial institution would use such an outdated application.

EBS not only should you be embarrassed, I would be mortified. And these financial institutions wonder why Revolut and so on has taken off.

I came to write a review to suggest that EBS create a proper banking app as every other back has. But from reading all these very poor reviews, you must know already that you need to improve.

I don’t know why you don’t have a proper banking app already to be honest.

...It looks like I am one of the few who has not had problems with the authenticator app (touch wood). I just wanted to ask if a small improvement could be made please so that after pressing Confirm on the authenticator app, it automatically returns you to your browser (Safari in my case) instead of having to toggle between the authenticator app back to the browser? This is possible and would only require a very small adjustment but would make the entire EBS experience flow better until the proper banking app is made.
