2 systems in one App!
It is now possible to control 2 types of heating systems with EMBER.
EMBER PS – Programmer based system.
This system comprises of our WiFi ready programmers, thermostats and GW01 gateway.
EMBER TS – Programmable Thermostat based system.
This system comprises of our new WiFi ready CombiPack4-OT thermostat and GW03 gateway.
New Features
Quick Boost
It is now possible to set the Quick Boost temperature for heating zones.
Advance Function (Programmer System only)
Advance function can now be activated from the Zone Control screen.
Frost Protection
Frost protection can be enabled via burger menu.
Improved Setup process
For enhanced security and convenience, this version allows the installer to set up a customer home with their own credentials. When the home owner logs in, the installer will be removed from the home and the home owner will be assigned Super Admin status.
Upgraded User Management
The user management function has been improved with an extra security layer and more detailed user information.
Schedule Overview
A complete overview of your programming schedule is now available on the Schedule screen
Enhanced Location Search
Postcode and Eircode can now be used during home setup to more quickly and accurately locate your home.
IOS 13 support
It is recommended to allow location permission, this will automatically populate the WiFi (SSID) information during Setup. Without giving this permission, you will have to enter your WiFi (SSID) details manually.

Ok to be fair haven’t got into
technical details but loved old app and never had any problems with it and loved having three systems and circle dials on one page. So this looks so plain by comparison and a step backwards. So maybe it’s technically better but doesn’t look as good as the old one. Strange. However apart from this perhaps minor gripe, Have never had a problem with old one so assuming this will also
work perfectly 4 out of 5

Need to change this review to 5 star. My initial experience was wrong and based on taking advice rather then reading the instructions myself. The system is easy to use ( when you follow the instructions) and provides great functionality.
Despite multiple attempts to pair the system with the app I have been unsuccessful. The system controls themselves, I installed the PS version, are low tec and not user friendly so i should not be surprised but was told by the installer this was a great system- I should have known it would be problematic once I saw the cheap controller. As a basic heating system it does work but definitely not worth the money.
Excellent product backed up with excellent customer service.
I am more than satisfied with my smart heating controls and related app. It is easy to use and offers full control of zoned heating and water from any where I may be.
Of particular note is the wonderful customer support Ember offers. So easy to make contact using an Irish number and no delays in speaking to a IT specialist who can talk you through a trouble shooting menu with very clear and easy to follow steps.
Would all other customer support offerings and utility companies were half as good!
