The performances of the app is very slow. Also, when submitting the readings will be good to get the estimated bill immediately so I don’t need to enter the readings twice (once to submit, once to estimate my bill): account slow performance of the app it it not efficient not calculating the estimated bill immediately.

It mostly works but it’s not a nice app in terms of the experience of using it by any stretch. Basically it’s the website but made more awkward by being shoved into an app, cookie notices and all.

Face ID for login is in theory one upgrade over the web, but practically speaking you have this on safari with saved passwords - speaking of which, it doesn’t auto populate your saved password on initial login the way the website does, so first login is actually more cumbersome than web. Subsequent FaceId logins are only the same at best, but sometimes it seems to forget you turned on FaceId too and you have to do a password login again.

Navigation is actually slower than on the web, as it throws up a spinner while loading pages, and I guess only hides it and lets you do anything when it thinks the page is fully loaded - the natural web loading experience is much more pleasant, and if not actually faster, certainly feels so.

At one point it displayed a 500 server error page and there was no way to navigate away or try again so I had to force quit the app.

I tried the app in response to it being mentioned in a bill notice email and came away being less satisfied as a customer than I was before I knew it existed.

The app is very glitchy, such as usage data not loading and/or not current. We have a smart meter and are trying to lower our usage of electricity, but for some unknown reason, for months when bills are issued, Energia adds all the usage that will appear on the bill to the month the bill is issued. So, if a bill is issued in May for all of March and April, March and April’s usage amounts will also appear in May’s graph. Ridiculous and unhelpful.
