FileBot is the ultimate tool for organizing and renaming Movies, TV Shows, Anime or Music. It's smart, highly customizable, and just works.
If you're using HTPC software like Plex, Kodi or Emby then FileBot is a must-have utility!
FileBot will match your files against TheMovieDB or TheTVDB and then rename (or move / copy / symlink / hardlink) them exactly the way you want it. Anything is possible!
If you need help extracting archives en masse or checking SFV / MD5 / SHA1 / SHA256 files then FileBot will get that done too.
Getting Started:
Organize your media files:
1. Drag media files onto "Original Files"
2. Click "Fetch Data" and select a database
3. Hit "Rename"!

Irreplaceable App
I've used Filebot for a good while now to organise my media files. It pulls the information from TVDB and TheMovieDB so it very rarely can't find what it's looking for. I've never used it to tag and rename music files so I can't speak to that function.
Highly recommended.
Simple, Reliable and A Must Have
I’ve been using filebot now for well over a year and it really is the simplest way to turn ugly messy downloaded files into a nicely managed library easily understood and processed by Plex( Media Server/Playerand i presume other media managers). It will even download the subtitles to go along with your tv shows if you want them,
Cant recommend this enough, it’s one of those apps that I’d be lost without now
Doesn’t do anything
Tried using this a number of times across music, movie and tv files and it does absolutely nothing. I have no idea how this has got so many good reviews to date.
