Welcome to the FolensHIVE app.
FolensHIVE is an innovative app, which provides Post-Primary teachers and students access to their Folens eBooks and digital resources. The app has full offline capabilities, which enables users to access the educational content at all times!
Students can also redeem their eBooks in the app. As well as make notes, highlights and bookmark pages. Students using Homework Space, can now complete their assignments through their mobile device.
Teachers can access the wealth of digital resources that come with the Folens programme they are using in the classroom. Resources may include PowerPoints, audio tracks, weblinks, videos, solutions and lots more. The eBooks also come with a range of handy tools such as zoom, highlight, bookmarks and notes.

A shocking display of incompetence
I’ve probably used hundreds of apps by this point, and this is by far the worst I’ve used. The app and book constantly crashes, it’s slow to navigate pages, books update constantly and take ages to do so, the zoom function doesn’t go anywhere near far enough, the UI colours were clearly designed by somebody completely colourblind, the book crashes every time I open the in-app resources, and the book crashes every time I switch to a different app and switch back. I cannot fathom how a company could produce this garbage.

Update ruined app
Before I updated the app it ran smoothly and was easy and intuitive to use. However, since updating I have had to make a new account as it didn’t recognise my old one, I had to wait a week for a book to update and I have resorted to using the hard copy of my book instead of this dreadful app. It takes far too long to load, you can’t quickly swipe through pages anymore and it no longer has a user friendly interface. I would simply recommend saving your time by not even downloading this app.

The Worst App Ever
I have been trying to sort out my books all year, I can’t access my account whatsoever as it needs to be verified by a guardian, that I don’t have, the account was set up by my school. When I made a second account, so I could register my maths books I get blocked out of that for being unable to use the app. CustomerService is a joke and cannot seem to get me into my maths or chemistry books, despite three phone calls with their team. This app is a waste of time.
