The driver arrived bang on time which was great and he was very friendly and polite. However the state of his taxi was terrible. To say it was filthy is an understatement. Stains on the seats, floor was filthy and the mats were covered in muck. A good valet is required. If the taxi driver vacuumed it even once every 2 days but judging by it it’s been a very long time since a vacuum cleaner or a soapy cloth was anywhere near it. It was so bad there were 2 midgety flies flying around. As we were heading to the airport we had no choice but to get in. Maybe if FREENOW did on the spot inspection from time to time without telling the drivers this unpleasant journey could have been avoided.

I had a situation a little while ago where a driver was extremely rude/ableist towards me, and honestly slightly aggravated, I raised the issue with your support team, and they were very helpful, I thought that this driver would be blocked from my app due to his actions, I attempted to book a cab today and got the same driver which almost caused a panic attack, i honestly don’t think I’ll be able to use the app anymore knowing this driver could potentially pick me up, in general, 99.9% of the drivers and everything are brilliant, they’re lovely, but on this occasion, myself and 2 friends were being picked up from the equestrian centre that we have our horses at, which is known in my area, and the driver went off, I’m autistic and he was informed of that and everything, this was awhile back and as I said earlier, the support team were helpful and I put in a report, but in my opinion if reports are made like that, that particular driver should not be able to pick up the same passenger like I experienced earlier, I was lucky to have realised before I got into the taxi itself or before it even arrived, i cancelled it straight away, but I shouldn’t have to fear seeing this particular driver while just trying to get home

Hi Hayley, thanks for reaching out - we're sorry to hear that you encountered a problematic driver again. We are able to block drivers for safety reasons, and any driver blocks are reported to our regulator for further review, however drivers are also able to appeal blocks. We do not currently have a feature to allow passengers to block specific drivers, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

The lag on this app is crazy. Not once in all times have used this app that it hasn’t had a long wait time and sometimes uncertainty as to whether or not I’ll even get a taxi. It has changed one of my most frequently used apps Halo, that actually made my life more convenient into an app that I only use when I have no other option. I actually dread clicking on this app because it is so unreliable in times when you may need it it most. Very disappointed with the change. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for change but I don’t like paying more for a worse service than I had before. Also I might add 2euro extra now per taxi. At least if there was some type of improvement you could justify an almost 25% increase or more on every trip but this is just a joke. Even with the €2 extra it’s still left up in the air whether or not you’ll get a taxi. I wouldn’t recommend. As soon as an alternative comes around I will be jumping ship unless they make a significant change and quickly.

So I’m a regular user spending €200 on average. And these are the things you should consider. -Removing the €5 fee.Totally unfair on us (the user) having to book a taxi because we are in a hurry to get somewhere. Suddenly a taxi man accepts the request while having a passenger on board and you’re stuck watching them drive away from you, it’s painful and totally unfair and not being able to cancel. Your policy says “if they are driving for more than 5mins then and you cancel the request then you are charged €5) but this is a lie. Book in a taxi and immediately cancel because of x reason, then you do have to pay €5. This brings me to my next suggestion. -A block button. There are some taxi drivers out there that you should pay close attention to and not in a good way. They are dishonest and painful to deal with. Please allow us to block these drivers -tipsAllow us to tip at the end of our journey some drivers out there do deserve a tip while others don’t. Having the automatic tip feature isn’t the best. -Only use favorites button/ feature. Again we are paying for a service. Let us choose the best experience by allowing us to choose our favorite or favorites drivers. So only our list of favorite drivers will be notified of our request. These are a few little things that can make a big difference on the user experience.
