Great game, but flawed

I haven’t played this game in quite a while, but after picking it up again I’m pleased to say I can see some definite improvements. Many of the game’s obstacles now give at least a split second to dodge, which now significantly improves what used to be its complete unpredictability. Thanks for that!

But the reason I’m only giving this 3 stars is because while playing, I found two significant flaws in the game that should be rectified.

The number one flaw is to do with the unpredictability I mentioned earlier. I’ll use an example. In the level Twitch, at 41%, there’s a vertical falling hammer (which used to be an issue, but thankfully has been fixed). To dodge the hammer, the player can go left or right. Both seem the same at first glance. If the player goes left, they progress normally. However, if the player chooses to go right, like I did, they’ll have to double swipe back to the left side. Not really much of a problem, unless you factor in my next argument...

Double swiping is not an easy task in this game. It feels slow and strange, and is virtually impossible to do in the tight, fast-moving situations this game plants you in most of the time. For an example of good double swiping, I can think of Spider-Man Unlimited, an endless runner which I can appreciate for having some pretty good mechanics. In said game, moving from the first lane to the third is just as easy and efficient as moving to the second. Basically, if you could make moving two lanes at a time just as easy as moving one, then it could become a far better game.

Also, after re-examining my review, I realised I didn’t specify the problem for my first argument, so I’ll state it now:
After moving right (when dodging the vertical falling hammer), because it is next to impossible to dash two lanes, it can pretty much be classified as a dead end, and it’s also next to impossible to detect the dead end, and as such the level becomes far more unpredictable. However, fixing the double swipe would probably fix both problems.

I also have an additional third argument I forgot to mention, which is that sometimes, when I make an action, it doesn’t respond and keeps going as if I didn’t do anything. I’m not sure if this is lag or it just doesn’t recognise my input, but I’m pretty sure I’m swiping correctly, but I’m not certain. Is there anything I can do?

If these problems are fixed this app definitely deserves a five star.

Thanks a lot!
