A modern marvel
I have not been disappointed with how accurately google home detects my voice and that of all the family. We use it for playing the radio music recipes and general day to day questions about the world. I have integrated it with my home heating Tado service and IFTTT with ease. I look forward to future developments as this is the future.
Removal of useful feature
To give a command to the device (google home) from a different room I used the routines feature to do so, for example, “set volume to 20%” and “play the sound of rain” - great if you want to use sounds to help a baby sleep. Just click the routine and it would start..
But this feature was removed on the latest update. When you click the routine it only gives you the option to edit it and not execute the function.
If any dev is reading this, please put it back the way it was..
Voice recognition has lot of bugs
Not at all easy to use even for a tech savy users. Doesn’t recognise words. Routines are impossible to set. Lot of bugs due to google account integration. If regions are different then it won’t work. Better off with Alexa I would say.
