Now you can check your glucose as easily as you check your email.

Introducing the Guardian™ Connect continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system. The Guardian Connect system uses a tiny sensor to measure glucose levels in fluid just below the skin. It takes readings all day and night and sends them to your phone via a small wireless transmitter, so you can see how you’re doing anytime.

With the Guardian Connect mobile app, you can see your most recent glucose data, your glucose trends over time, your sensor and your transmitter status. You can also receive alerts to notify you when you’re going above or below your preferred range and keep track of daily events which may impact your glucose levels.

Your mobile app also sends your data to CareLink™ Personal therapy management software, so you can see your full information online and share your information with family or friends. Those closest to you can even receive SMS messages whenever you go out of range!

To use the Guardian Connect system, you will need the Guardian Connect transmitter and sensor as well as this app!

* Not compatible with MiniMed pumps.

Acting up after update

It started acting up after update, wrong sensor readings app shows 3.9 when proper BG test shows 7.8. When trying to calibrate I got message “calibration not accepted “ and after second time message “change sensor” lost 2 sensors because of this. Now during this write up calibration was rejected again! I can’t believe it went trough the testing stage. And there you go... another fresh sensor lost! Your QA ten fu....d this up! 3 sensors in the Bin!!!!!!!!

Battery life!!!

This is a brilliant app and excellent CGM system but since version 3.2.2 the app seems to consume a huge amount of battery life. Before installing the app I used to get 2 days battery life from my iPhone 7. While the app is now running I’m lucky to get half a day. It doesn’t seem any better with version 3.2.3.

iPhone XR compatible?

As of October 2018 it doesn’t seem to be compatible with the iPhone XR despite the App Store saying it “works with this iPhone”. When opening the app it simply states “Unsupported iOS device. Unfortunately the app does not work with your device”.
Very little help from their helpline either.
