Best dog boarding experience ever
We have had our two dogs in kennels every year for almost 10 years. one of our dogs gets anxious. We tried Gudog for the first time this year and it was excellent, so easy to use, locate plan, check in. We were able to find a lady close to where we stay so were able to visit them and she sent photos every day. I highly recommend Gudog.
No consideration for the sitters.
I have been working with the app for the past months as a sitter, and I always provide great service, I am only have 5 stars review. Unfortunately the app doesn’t support the sitters because I had cancellations in the previous day of the booking start date and the dog owner didn’t say the truth why she was cancelling just to not pay the cancellation fee, and she got way with it.
By policy, if you cancel the day before, you have to pay 50% as a pet owner, the pet owner in this case said she didn’t like me after meeting which was a lie, she cancelled 1 week after she met me, the truth is that she only cancelled because she got someone from her family to mind her dog.
The support should have asked her to pay, supporting the sitter, it was too easy to get way with the cancellation fee.
Good but does need some work
I enjoy using the app to find more dogs to mind and walk, but I think it could use some structural improvements:
- It would be useful if you could share a link to your Gudog page, so I could use other platforms to advertise my services on Gudog
- Sometimes, the app is buggy, and locks me out or I have to constantly refresh for a message to come through.
- Sometimes people cannot see that I have marked days as ‘Dog walking only available’ and they are able to put in requests for daycare/sitting. It would be good if this bug was fixed as I hate having to reject clients when I have tried to mark myself as unavailable.
Other than what’s mentioned above, I really love using the app. I think it’s a very clever idea and I love that it comes with emergency veterinary cover. Keep up the good work, and if you ever want to send me free products for me to try with dogs contact me.
