There sure is a lot of debris in space. So if you want to survive as an intergalactic pilot, you’ll need to think fast. Thankfully, dodging and weaving through Hyperburner’s gorgeous levels is pure exhilaration. We love how beating stages “rewards” us with faster ships—it means the better we get, the harder the game gets.
Flawless, this is a superb game
I can barely get over the fact this games' concept, artwork, soundtrack and execution (minus the UI design by Eva Godeny) is the creative effort of one person (Patrick Cook), before you even get into how good the game itself is to play. It starts out tricky and gets harder but the learning curve is really rewarding - to go back to an earlier stage when you are stuck later on really let's you appreciate how far your skill has developed. Pass the music through a good external speaker, get into a zen-state and believe you are piloting yourself he'll-for-leather through an endless series of beautiful but terrifying situations. I could not love this game any more, it's a work of genius.
Regarding the glitches mentioned by another reviewer, I experienced glitches once or twice on my iPhone5s but only when I had loads of apps open. Double-click 'home' button and shut everything else down first - it didn't affect my long-term enjoyment in the slightest.
