Pineapple – Network for Gen Z 4+

I like the idea of the app, but I feel it’s missing so many features. The app in its current state feels as though it’d not only be of no use to me, but, that it’d also be somewhat of a hinderance regarding job hunting.

I fear that if I use this platform as a device to find a job, that the companies branding and youthful ✨vibe✨would give potential employers the wrong message about me. That the brands visual language — coupled with the informal feel of the app — would dirty my first impression by association.

That isn’t to say that the concept and execution is inherently flawed however. I feel that with growth, coupled with more features (like the ability to apply to jobs in app), would give the app a more well rounded feel. These developments in my opinion, would help with negating the platforms current sense of isolatory narcissism. Part of the brands marketing includes slights at LinkedIn and plays on generation divides, but honestly...as a platform LinkedIn has many feature sets that pineapple would benefit from repackaging.

I can do the download, but I can’t crate a login or use the app!

Real authentic feel to the app, almost as if it was built into the iPhone itself. Easy to use and no problems as of yet.
