Ratings and Reviews
Browsing ok! Buying not so good
Great site for browsing but is amazing how challenging it is to actually pay for items!! Took me 30 mins from checkout to confirmation. Password reset does not work, not on my iPhone anyway! And the payment screens for visa verification are tiny!!! You can’t copy password from the visa text as it reads as a phone number so will only call it, not copy, and the screen on the app has tiny text which can’t be expanded. I’d rather shop the traditional way with next but think the item wouldn’t have been on display.
Very glitchy, poor experience overall!
Where do I start with the review.. basically Nexts app feels like a school boys project half finished! There are so many user bugs I don’t think it was tested at all! Some examples include 1) Ever time I open the app it reloads the landing page and it glitches 2) searching for a product- once you’ve hit search - the page returned is the landing page only when you click past that do you get your search results 3) I have to sign in every time I reopen app - that is very strange I’ve not seen that before and I have a lot of shopping apps on my mobile 4) no previous orders placed are visible in an orders history page (a pretty basic user’s expectation if you ask me) 5) there’s no order tracking info on your app 6) there are many products that when you choose your size you are told “available within xxx weeks” but when you choose buy it goes to you basket it’s Out Of Stock... which is very frustrating!! I could go on and on... but I’m not your testing department!!
No star/favourite function
I have been using the website to order from Next and got a notification about the app so I downloaded it and set up my account, only to find that it’s not possible to save favourites on the app, although you can do it on the website. How silly! Surely this feature would be very easy to include for convenience/ease of use, and probably to increase sales as well... I already have a favourites list on my online account so surely this should show up in the app too. Website is easier to use than app at the moment. Also, it is not possible to browse “baby” clothes, as the gender must be specified (again this is possible on the website but not in the app). I won’t know what I’m having until it’s out so prefer to see whole collection, like on the website. Both issues should be simple to fix but for until then I prefer the website to the app.
