Ratings and Reviews
Good for conversational practice.
Reason for buying: I bought the pro version as I get access to multiple languages for a one-off payment.
Likes: I find it especially good for other languages outside my core set, and it is also good for quick revision, e.g. helping me to avoid mixing up my Nordic languages (Swedish/Norwegian/Danish) spelling or pronunciation. I like the clear pronunciation and voice recognition.
Minor gripes: It feels a bit too simple at times, but there is still a lot of content to get through. The leaderboards and motivation dynamics are not as engaging as Duolingo for example.
Summary: Mondly is a great tool for daily practice, with a strong visual element that helps with learning retention, and it also a great starting point to learn a completely new language without too much stress and at no additional cost per new language once you already have the pro version.
Amazing
For me this has to be one of the best app you can use to learn languages, especially if you want to chose the free route, it has tones to offer to you even if you don’t want to pay to learn. I think If you pare this app up with Duolingo you shall be fluent in no time. This is definitely one of the best app out there, I use it to learn Spanish and I’ve only been on this app for a short time and I can tell it’s already made a positive impact on my speaking and my Spanish teacher agrees, it has leves to suit beginners, intermediate and advanced learners right from the get go. It gives you bite sized lessons so that you can take it all in. It offers a bunch of languages, and it says the words out loud to help with pronunciation. And it does all of its learning in a fun and informative way to make it as easy as possible on you, all round this app has to be a 5 star app
Amazing.
I’m really impressed by this app. I’ve tried to learn Spanish before and never as clear as this. I have some Spanish colleagues so repeating back phrases to them seems to be correct and they are surprised at how much I’m learning in such a short time. I found this app when searching for VR experiences as I had similar before where you would be placed in a scenario so restaurant or train or hotel to practice conversation. So my only request is please make it available in the quest 2 as it would really amplify the learning process and put it into real life practice when not located in a Spanish speaking country. Thank you very much I’m enjoying the app so far.
