This unit is no good, do not purchase it, it refuses to connect to the phone, you can’t even tell when it is try to read a QR code or not

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble scanning the QR code. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue: The first QR code showing in parent unit for App download, press the next page will show the QR code for add camera to App. Then Make sure the camera lens is clean and not obstructed. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the lens. Ensure your phone running the VTech app, add camera then scanning. Hold your smartphone steady and make sure the QR code is within the frame. Try scanning the QR code from different angles. Sometimes the scanner may have difficulty reading the code from a certain angle. Try tilting the device or moving it around to find the best angle. Try holding the camera steady and adjusting the distance between your mobile phone and the QR code. It may take a few attempts to get the right angle and distance. We hope these steps help you resolve the issue.
