Not much use
Lidl Plus is a good idea and the app is working fine when you have your own data, it won’t work without internet and there’s no wi-fi in stores. So if you have no own data in the shop you need to have the coupons activated prior to the shopping trip, then remember what is on offer and give the customer assistant your phone number to use the app. The offers are too repetitive, most freebies from scratchcard are out of stock so no use. I prefer a loose apple or an orange to junk food like wine gums, jellies, freeway fizzy drinks etc. but there is no such option. Circle K do it well as when you get a prize from them you can choose from a bottle of water and a nut bar (healthy option) or a fizzy drink and a chocolate (junk). Sometimes the app is down and not working for anyone for a couple of hours which is a shame when someone goes there particularly to use the coupons.
Not as good as Dunnes
A great idea but a bit misleading. I only realised when I checked my receipt that the treat vouchers only apply to one purchase of each type. For example I picked up 3 boxes of grapes but was charged full price for 2 and discounted then for 1. It’s a treat not a voucher off coupon but it’s not that obvious although it makes sense now that I know. I also got my €5 off. It disappeared and wasn’t there to scan at the till although I had picked up some treats for myself thinking that I was getting that off. I’m thinking it’s not worth the hassle. I might go back and shop in Dunnes and get the €10 off €50 each week. I’d prefer to be able to decide what items to spend my voucher on than be encouraged to purchase things I don’t want just because they are reduced. I don’t need an app to do that.

Thanks for the Offers etc. Good thinking. As I am elderly, no, OLD, I’m not always able to get to the shop on Thursday or sometimes even Friday and when I can it is deflating to find that the particular items are already “all gone”! I thought the Lidl + was for the week in question (unlike the week-end bits of Offers, when one must go early on Saturday morning or the worthwhile ones are gone. Maybe it is like 100 ‘leaders’ to entice, then nothing! I mostly go to the newer Castleknock shop, find the staff to be excellent, ever-helpful to an old person, and that Manager fellow, Ryan, is a gift to Lidl....always watching, checking stock and staff and even himself dragging boxes around if he sees the need to get them away; and still has time and civility to answer customer’s’ questions, however unreasonable they may be😂.
