Magic Poser - Art Pose Tool 12+

I’ve only tried the basic free version of this and it’s ok but it is basic, very basic, more of a taster of what could be possible if you buy into the Pro or Master versions . The master version looks great and I could see myself giving it 4 or even 5 stars but I’m no fan of the monthly subscription model. if you’re using a bunch of subscription apps in combination the dollars soon mount up. I’m a buy it out right or don’t buy it fellah and I’m not the only one by a long chalk. There’s the Pro version of course, outright purchase for $9.99, not a bad deal in general but it doesn’t have OBJ export. Great app I’m sure, especially the Master version,YouTube has some great demos of it, but $180 a year? No way. A shame, I’d have happily paid out a fair price for a perpetual licence.

The Master version of our app includes unlimited access to our continually updated Asset Library (25 characters, 100+ hair and clothing, 500+ props, 3000+ preset poses) and 3D exporting, making it a fully functioning 3D software. At $14.99 USD a month, it’s priced very competitively compared to other 3D software on the App Store (Shapr3D, UMake etc.). You can certainly choose whether to subscribe or not based on your needs.

The old app was fantastic, and was truly amazing for younger artists, and younger me who had no money adored that fact. And though the quality has only increased with the new updates, price tags were added to features that were previously free. At first I was really annoyed, and I still am disgruntled to be sure, however I do understand and support the creators for asking for money for their work. App development isn’t easy and definitely isn’t cheap, and asking money for your work isn’t a bad thing - however the approach to the paid model wasn’t fantastic. Personally I’d have preferred the approach ibis paint took, having the free version and payed version separate. However, if you have a little cash, the payed version is far superior and, for better or worse, practically required to get any genuine use from the app. I could comment on some lack of facial feature - features, or how last I checked the variety of skin tones was lacklustre at best, however if you’re just looking for an app for references and basic geometry, this is the app. Though I truly wish there was object collision to make propping characters on objects easier, or making holding objects easier. It’s *mostly* an inoffensive app. Mostly.

In regards to skin tone, we’re a bit confused, as we currently offer 80+ different basic skin tones to choose from, and we wouldn’t consider that amount to be lackluster. You can scroll through our many skin tones, and if none of them are satisfactory for your needs, feel free to customize your own! Hi! This is a great app for helping artists and people who want to share there creativeness with a wonderful community :)

I have to say I’d like it if your doing any further updates could you add some hand poses and the “lin”? Model (sorry if her name is not lin.) and mix and match clothing? (But don’t have to sign in for that because I don’t know if I want to sign in) and facial expressions? (Again don’t have to sign in) that would be lovely thank you

And how about to toned hair? Like the split style? (And make all the ideas I give you not to sign in please)

And I really like this app because I’m not that amazing at drawing yet so making your own poses and putting them into a drawing app and tracing is lovely for me!

For Lina and other models, we will definitely be adding hand presets in the next version of Magic Poser! As for mixing and matching clothing - we will definitely consider it in the future, depending on complexity in our app.

Facial expressions are already a work in progress, and we also hope to release them sometime next year!

As for coloring the hair, we can definitely try. :) As for sign in - we will try to make the app better about it, however many features may still require you to sign in.
