Arriving over the course of this release:
• Update to Cosmic Crucible League Ratings - Starting with Season 10, we will be significantly reducing the number of times we reset your Tribunal Rating each year. The number of points you earn for winning will change based on your Tribunal Rating.
• • Tribunal Ratings below 1100: On winning, you will earn more points than your opponent loses.
• • Tribunal Ratings 1100 to 1899: On winning, you will earn the same number of points your opponent loses.
• • Tribunal Ratings 1900 to 2699: On winning, you will earn less points than your opponent loses.
• • Tribunal Ratings above 2700: On winning, you will earn at least 1 point.
• Dark Dimension VIII Planner: Strategize your way through the upcoming Dark Dimension with our latest update to the Dark Dimension planner on MarvelStrikeForce.com.
• When searching for new Alliances, full Alliances will now be hidden by default.
Bugs
• Silver Surfer now correctly drops Resistance by 50% for all enemies with Heal Block and deals the correct amount of damage to adjacent targets.
• Gladiator's laser visual effects and animations improved to resolve minor issues for some attacks.
• Corrected the visual effects that occur during the upgrade process for Iso-8 Purple (T3) in the Matrix screen.
• Thanos (Endgame)’s Ultimate Ability now correctly deals Piercing to all enemies with and without Defense Up status.
• The Raid Season Leaderboard and Raid node damage contributions for all Raids now reflect accurately after a player leaves an Alliance.
• Improved the Open All Orbs progress bar and visuals when fewer than 3 items were revealed.
Ratings and Reviews
Needs work
Fun to start, but quick to realise significant bottlenecks and an outrageous pay2play divide. In game economy is a mess, where new players are consistently introduced but not enough resources to keep up, so you feel like you’re falling further and further behind. Until such a time as significant resource issues are resolved (gold, gear for all tiers, shards, all mats) you’re already too far behind. Fun at times, but extremely time consuming and frustration enduring.
Great game except for some ridiculously hard challenges for new characters
As a generally non-gamer but a huge marvel fan I enjoy most aspects of this game and am quite addicted. Mostly bug-free but when I once did experience not getting the rewards for an achievement their support resolved the issue within an hour. So kudos for that. Great gameplay, animation/art and an entertaining story-line. My only complaint is some almost impossible new character event levels that don’t seem to have been tested at all.. i.e. Wasp 1.6 . Just disheartening that after building a strong team/s for so long that they get wiped out before you can even get a few attacks in. Simply ridiculous difficulty that seems cynically designed to get you to spend money to max out your team. And even maxed players are grumbling. Sort out those issues and, for me, it would be one of the best games in the app store. No problem with something like Arena being play to win but special character events should be tough but beatable with a good team. 2 stars removed because of that.
Fun game ruined by ridiculous dev greed
The core game is a very fun, very solid turn based RPG. However, since being bought by Scopely a couple years back, the P2W element has gotten so bad and continues to get worse. Essential resources artificially bottlenecked and character progression is so slow that it’s so so obvious they are trying to frustrate their players into paying. Power creep is so bad that decent characters released in the last year are already obsolete. And the prices they want people to pay for pathetic amounts of resources? Hoo boy. It costs more to bring a character up one rank than it costs for a AAA console game. That’s not an exaggeration, it literally does.
I’ve enjoyed this game but less and less with every update and greedy move by the devs. If you were asking me if you should start playing this game today, I would 1000% say no. It’s purely sunk cost fallacy that keeps me playing by now.
