The Microsoft Family Safety app helps empower you and your family to create healthy habits and protect the ones you love. Get peace of mind that your family is staying a little safer while giving your kids independence.
Create a safe space for your kids to explore online. Set healthy boundaries to block inappropriate content and limit browsing to kid-friendly websites using Microsoft Edge on Windows, Xbox and Android. Get notified when your kids want to download a more mature app or game from the Microsoft Store with age limits, keeping you in the know and helping to avoid surprises.
Develop healthy digital habits and provide transparency into your family's activities. View your kids’ weekly activity to help start a conversation about online behaviour. Set device time limits across Xbox and Windows. Or if your kids will be on devices longer for things like online learning, set time limits on specific apps or games on Xbox, Windows or Android.

Ratings and Reviews
Gives full control over different platforms
Great app that gives great control over the Xbox and PC platforms gives a run down on time spent even down to individual games or apps. Lately it has been shutting down b on me not allowing me to change times or Allow purchases hopefully it will be sorted soon other than that fantastic.

There is so much to improve
It has so much potential when it works but unfortunately most of the time it doesn’t. I have set time limit 2h but it disconnects him after 10-15min, I give permission to use browser but it doesn’t allow him even though I approve even through request by email and app 🥴

Couldn’t extend extra time despite numerous attempts
After reading other reviews, I found out that I am not the only person facing this problem of not being able to extend extra time on my son’s computer. On my device, it states that extra time was allowed but my son’s computer was still locked.
It’s really annoying and frustrating. I hope Microsoft will be able to fix this problem and avoid reoccurrence.
