2. Thought-provoking: Present audio articles that inform, inspire, and offer fresh insights, through both a global and a national lens. Focus on opinion, feature, and analysis articles.
3. Storytellers: Be storytellers and educators. Help our listeners understand global topics, and perspectives, while also telling the stories of the people behind the headlines.
4. Global Impact: Ensure coverage and raise awareness of important topics, regardless of a topics popularity or ability to drive “clicks”.
5. Fourth Estate: Uphold journalism’s values as a democratic check on power. And always celebrate great journalism.
6. Embrace Complexity: Encourage thought and avoid black and white explanations that aren't followed with depth. The world is complicated and can seldom be explained in minutes. Our goal is to help listeners navigate it.

Fantastic way to consume news

NOA makes it surprisingly easy to consume news and even more surprisingly in my opinion.. makes it better. I would have always been on the fringe of news and read up on it when I stumbled across it but having it read to me allows me to consume more and be better informed. Also the people reading it are easy to listen to in an almost soothing way it will make you want to listen more..

Great app and couldn’t recommend it more!!

Helps me understand the news

Noa Series have changed the way I stay informed. They provide short explainers at the beginning and then let you listen back to a selection of articles from multiple quality sources like the Financial Times, The Economist, The Independent and The New York Times. The readers are audiobook quality and the app is fast to load. You can also download articles and series and create your own audio queue. Works well on the London Underground.

Revised my opinion

My original score was 2 stars, however after using the app for a while I’ve revised my opinion and now give it 4 stars. There is a lot of relevant content there and the fact that there is no iPad version yet is just slightly annoying as I often use it on my iPhone instead. The missing 5th star is mainly because I’ve often felt I’d like a greater range of readers - the current readers do a good job but it is often good to have some variety.

Developer Response ,

Hi there, thanks for your review. While Noa works on both iPhone and iPad, the app is not yet optimised for iPad. However, improving how Noa runs on iPad is something that is very much on our radar for a future update. We appreciate you waiting for this update. We are always looking to add new narrators to diversify our range of voices. You'll be happy to know that we'll be adding a new narrator to our team very soon! If you have any further feedback or suggestions, for our editors or developers, you can contact us at or leave feedback via the Chat to Us feature in the Noa app. Thanks!
