Notes Plus 4+

I have been using this app for two years. It was excellent and extremely smooth to run right up until I updated to io7. When I am in handwriting mode, it constantly crashes. If I am lucky, I can go a full 5 minutes without a crash but it is almost every minute. When I go back into the app, I often find that the last sentence I have written is no longer there. It is the most inconvenient way to go about doing work, so counter-productive. I have looked online and have seen that some other people have similar problems and, YES, I have tried the feeble solutions offered. I am only giving it 3 out of 5 stars instead of 1 star because of the loyalty I had developed to app right up until the latest update.

I spent a little time today checking out Notes Plus again, and I am astounded at how good the app has become. I can’t believe I’ve spent so much time messing about in other (very good) apps when Notes Plus has been sitting here quietly, getting better and better all the time.

Amazing handwriting recognition. Amazingly easy-to-use zoom mode. Far, far, far superior ink and drawing styles compared to my previous app, Good Notes.

Using this On an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil is the best note-taking experience I’ve had to date on iOS. Absolute tip-top!

They offer you to turn on iCloud backup. No where does it say this can cause random pages from your notes to disappear. Random pages of my notes disappeared and when I contacted support, they told me to turn it off as it currently is KNOWN TO DO THAT.

These are notes for my exams and I have no access to random pages on them, just shows a blank page.

Whilst I’m sure it won’t happen if you don’t use iCloud backup, the fact that it’s still a feature you can turn on and no one warns you is disgraceful.
