Question mess up
There is a question in this app “when a vehicle breaks down on a motor way what should a driver do” this question has come up sometimes more than once in a practice test for me yet there are three possible correct answers which are “place a red warning triangle to the rear left hand side of the vehicle” “move the vehicle to the hard shoulder” and “wear a high visibility vest” every time this question has come up for me at least two of those three correct answers come up and sometimes I get it right in one question and wrong in another. I have my test tomorrow morning and I’m really nervous this will happen? Can someone help me please?
Developer Response ,
Dear mehsn5383 - there are a number of questions about break-downs (9 in total) which is why you might have seen two similar questions in one test, but all the questions are slightly different. You will not have seen the same question twice in one test. If you got it wrong, you might have seen it twice in quick succession as the software is designed to re-ask questions that were incorrectly answered.
The specific question you mention in your review is completely correct. Bearing in mind this is a breakdown on a MOTORWAY - of the possible answers, only one is correct and the others are wrong.
The correct answer is "Use a roadside phone to contact Gardai and never try to carry out repairs yourself".
Incorrect answers are:
1. Turn on the full beam headlights to alert other drivers (wrong because that will dazzle other drivers and the ones you need to warn will be approaching from behind, so hazard warning lights should be used instead).
2. Ask a passenger to stand on the road to warn other traffic (clearly, this is wrong - all the occupants of the vehicle should get out and stand on the OTHER side of the barrier for safety - nobody should stand in the road).
3. Place a red warning triangle on the motorway to warn other drivers (aside from the fact that to place the triangle you would need to stand on the motorway, you should never place ANY object on the motorway carriageway. You MIGHT want to place a warning triangle on the *hard shoulder* but certainly NOT on the carriageway).
I hope that this helps. Whilst I cannot provide an absolute 100% guarantee that there are no errors at all in ANY of the questions, you can rest assured that when errors are found to exist, the digital products are updated within a matter of minutes or hours - so such errors that DO exist are removed very quickly.
Questions contradict each other !!!
I’ve done a few tests now and two questions came up one after another. “What are the fixed fine and penalty points for unaccompanied learner driver” answer is 80 euros fine and 2 penalty points. Then the following question was “What is the amount of penalty points an unaccompanied learner driver can receive?” Answer is 5 points. Then another question is “what is amount a learner unaccompanied can be fined” Answer is 120 euros.
What are the correct answers because this seems to be contradicting each other ????
UPDATE- Hi there I’m trying to attach a screenshot but it won’t let me. Anywyas one of the questions is A learner driver unaccompanied can receive a minimum of how many penalty points- Answer is 5.
Then another question is a learner driver can receive on conviction if unaccompanied. A minimum of how many points? Answer is 4 points. How is 5 the minimum but for 4 is the minimum on conviction? Sorry maybe I’m being stupid I don’t understand, they’re too similar 😬

Here is a list of all of the penalty points from the RSA: http://www.rsa.ie/Documents/Licensed%20Drivers/Penalty%20Point%20offences%20as%20of%2017%20April%202016.pdf

Shortly after it was released, we did correct some question errors in the data, but these updates have been available for over a month now - and should have been automatically applied to your app. However if you have not got your device set to update automatically there might be pending updates waiting. Definitely worth checking in any case.
If your app is definitely up to date and you are still finding questions that do not reflect the chart supplied, please contact our support department and either provide question wording, screen shots or question IDs so that we can investigate further. TODTTSupport@imagitech.co.uk
DTT app review
App is great the only thing I have difficulty with is the pictures are quite small for some of the detailed answers. For instance, which is these cars is correctly aligned for turning right, 1, 2, 3, or 4 - the numbers are difficult to read on iPhone screen and picture did not enlarge on tap or zoom.
Developer Response ,
Dear Creative Celt,
Thanks for your review...
It is possible to enlarge the images by tapping on them. They should then expand and be displayed in the middle of the screen. Tap outside of the image to return to the normal view. If that does not work, please let us know.
