Patreon 12+

Constantly glitchy. I need to leave the page open as it plays because as soon as it goes dark the podcasts pause . When I open the save screen and press play the counter will run as if it’s playing but no sound is audible. This is going on for months now . My app is fully up to date too. It really takes from the experience and the Patreon s deserve better than have their works stuck on this format .

I used to be one of Patreons biggest advocates. From a tech perspective the site and app have always been buggy with new issues being common. However, it used to be the case that once you emailed them the issue was resolved within 48-72 hours. I was even assigned a liaison at one point unprompted to chat with to help me up my pledges. I loved Patreon and spoke so highly of it. Unfortunately in the last year with many repeated issues for myself and my patrons I’ve messaged them and nobody ever responds. I send message after message and email after email and nobody gets back to you until you send up to 5 emails. Even then it’s a week between messages and the issues are never resolved. I requested an individual to speak with and after messaging her, she has not replied 2 weeks later. The patrons cannot get any assistance for their issues and are expressing dissatisfaction with the medium, which reflects poorly on the creator. I don’t know what’s going on there. I have heard many individuals have been laid off which is so sad, but even so to get zero response to repeated emails is just not acceptable. They need to sort this out and fix these communication and tech issues or creators like me who once loved Patreon will be left with no alternative than to use a different host site.

I’ve never encountered any problems with the app doing what it’s supposed to do. I had tried RSS feed stuff from Patreon podcasts through my iPhone and that didn’t work so well. Having the app eliminated any issues.
