Key feature removed on mobile app and island of Ireland problem
I’ve been on the app on and off for over two years now and for the most part it is very good. However, recently a key feature was removed from the mobile app (which at least remains on the desktop version). The feature was searching women by different criteria such as body types. You used to be able to view all the online women within your personal criteria but now you can only view them one by one. I would prefer if the old way of doings as I listed above came back. But a really big issue that has present on both the mobile and desktop version since I joined is that if your from the Republic of Ireland, you can’t view, like and talk to profiles in the north of Ireland. You may get one Northern profile to view once in a blue moon, but they should be as common as all women outside your county in the Republic. Both sides of the border share a lot of cultural and social ties, which can make for interesting relationships, so it is an awful shame this has not been recognised by POF yet

Online status is always showing and anyone can text you
Every time, I go on the app it shows everyone that I am online. There is no option to shut this off. So if I go online to talk with someone I get a lot of messages. I try to reply to everyone who messages me out of respect for that person. When I’m not interested I just politely decline. Anytime you go on to change anything like hide your profile because you have found someone you like it it shows your online. When you accidentally leave the app open it shows your online. If you politely decline unsolicited messages even after hiding your profile it shows your online. All of this has lead to uncomfortable conversations, people making assumptions that I’m seeing someone else and just plain abuse. And I still get unsolicited messages even after I hide my account. There used to be a way to hide your online status wether you’ve paid or not. I also, don’t like that the weekly pay option has disappeared. Don’t get me started on trying to delete your account. You have to log in with a computer and find the hidden button in the help index. I’m so done with this.
