Ratings and Reviews
Simple and works as intended
I’ve been using the paid version of Tutanota email for over a year now, and I can share that I’m very happy with the service. Simple to use and works as expected.
Tutanota team, keep up with the great work!
Developer Response ,
Thanks! We are happy that you rate our encrypted email & calendar app five stars. :)
Great features
I came to Tuta because: security
I stayed because: features and stability
It has some great features I didn’t expect, like email aliases and own-domain integrations
Developer Response ,
Thank you! 😍
Excellent service, app is getting there
It’s not as feature rich as some of the competitors, but given that Tutanota is relatively new on the scene, and given the strong security features, I think they are reasonable trade offs.
What’s infuriated me more times than I can say, is being unable to access the app randomly. On multiple occasions I receive an error saying the server can’t be reached. This is despite having full internet connectivity (checked via other apps), and it makes no difference whether VPN is on or off. I’m running IOS 15.1 currently, everything up to date, but tbh this has been happening intermittently for months. Which is a shame, because generally I think Tutanota rocks. Today I was 20 min late for a work zoom meeting because I couldn’t access Tutanota, and the zoom meeting link was in a email. I ended up having to delete and reinstall the app.
Anyways, hopefully the team can see and investigate this. I’m still giving 4 stars, because overall I think Tutanota is great, but this bug is directly contributing to my chain smoking habit.
Developer Response ,
Thank you very much for your feedback, we will definitely look into this. When it happens, can you then access with another connection, e.g. mobile network? Sometimes IPs (VPNs mostly) get blocked due to abuse. If the issue remains, please also contact tech support: hello@tutao.de
