Misleading advertising

Like a lot of apps, the ads are misleading to the point of blatant false advertising. I downloaded this app thinking it was a similar game to the old age of empires PC games, but they are nothing alike. That said, it is an enjoyable game, although it is very much pay to win.

The game is based on spending. To be successful, you will require €6000-€10,000 over a 2 year period. It increases exponentially after this point.

There are free player developers in game that increase their own power in each state to courage others to spend. It’s a rat race…. No matter how much you spend, the house always wins!

Also note that the purchase packages are not equal around the world. There are specific regions that gain advantages from massive discounts compared to what the majority of players pay. It creates an unfair advantage and means the cost to pay to win is ridiculous. By the time you understand what’s happening, it’s 3 years later and you’ve spent €7,000 to be a below average power player.

This is on top of the requirements to log on every hour for 15 minutes to upgrade your castle, feed farms, pay the moderators and literally spend 40% of your day online.

It’s basically a gambling community that is unaware that they are gambling.

I would say avoid this game at all costs if you have an addictive personality. How it’s allowed on the App Store is beyond me

Entertaining, but no, thanks

I like strategy games and, at first, this one seemed to be nice. I’ve been playing it for a while, but I find it hard. I grew up to a certain point and then players started attacking me. Had a decent army and a power I hardly built, between attacks and colecting the resources I needed. Just to lose it during 11 consecutive attacks. No shield provided once the medical tents were full (that is too nice to be true) and this is dissapointing, couldn’t save any troops. Lost my entire army and I don’t find the motivation to keep playing. Overall, yes, it is entertaining, but you need to invest if you want to survive. And no, thanks!
