Great start but needs some changes

This app is good and could be great but there’s two big issues I have with it.

1. The food list is extremely restrictive and lacking with there’s no ability to add your own custom foods. Their own diet book recommends a 75/25 balance between Whole Foods/healthy foods and more processed foods but the food list implies you eat 100% Whole Foods all of the time. If you have something typically more processed you basically can’t log it, say like work having some free cake slices or something.

2. Unless You can’t submit a meal unless you adhere to the macros of that meal exactly as written with no deviation. This is really unrealistic and it’s quite common for people to go a little under in carbs one meal and a lil over in another. You can’t even deviate by 5g of a macro or you can’t submit the meal. So if you do as above, or you eat out, you basically can’t log the meal, which is IMO worse than just logging a meal off macros and making it up in a subsequent meal.

Don’t get me wrong, the app calculates so much based on your info and lays things out so easily and meticulously. You can give your own input each week as to how you feel things are going and you get notifications/graphs. This is all so good. But currently because of the reasons above, I just use it to give me meal breakdowns daily but use my fitness pal to log it.

1. We are addressing the limited food issue! We are currently working on a feature that will allow our users to add custom foods into their app! This will be available soon!
2. Our app is a diet coach, which creates your plan, and adjusts accordingly based on your adherence to the planned weight loss. The function of checking in meals is where you can track your meals and whether you went over or under, and not in the actual meal itself.

Best Diet App!

Using RP Diet app is the best thing I’ve ever done for my body composition. I’m the leanest and strongest I’ve ever been after just 11 weeks, and was able to build strength the whole way through my cut. Thanks RP!! ☺️
