This is my favourite game
This is a very very good game and I can spend long times playing it it is not like other games where you get sick of it very fast this one is fun where you can get new players and upgrade them there is also international players with there names and teams so I would highly recommend this game to people interested in rugby
Good gameplay but that’s it
The game itself is fun to play and an improvement on previous releases. Kicking is better, you can choose your kicker now and passing and running are a lot more crisp. A few minor bugs such as the opposition always kicking it out at the final whistle. That’s all the positives though. They’ve scrapped the enjoyable player career mode where you work up from small club to country in favor of a core, freemium micro transaction laden, ultimate team ripoff game mode that is just not enjoyable. Even if this were to work, the player and team ratings would need to be somewhat realistic. Dupont, the best player in the world, has a 68 rating and England are the highest rated team in the game despite coming fifth in the last 6 nations and losing to Scotland last week. It has promise and with improved ratings and bug fixes could be a half decent game. What would really make it though is an option to purchase a full game with a career mode, play now mode, all competitions and customizable players instead of this micro transaction garbage that a lot of games sadly seem to be drifting towards.
Unrealistic
The game is just really unrealistic with the player ratings being terrible especially on the six nations and World Cup mode they often have the players who don’t even start for there country way higher rated than the players are better in real life and do start. Also in your ultimate team mode if you play against a team higher rated than you it’s basically impossible to win a ruck you either have to score from the first play you get the ball or else your defending the majority of the game. Also if you get tackled anywhere at all near the sideline your player seems to slide so far and go into touch and when it gets to 80 minutes you just knock it on straight away which is stupid but the AI never knock it on after 80 minutes which makes it nearly impossible to not concede. Also the gameplay is really unrealistic because the only thing the AI does is pass it from the ruck then pass it straight back inside it never ever gives it out the backs it’s so so boring defending against and that’s just the problems off the top of my head I’m sure there’s loads more I’m not thinking of
