Ratings and Reviews
Great app. Minor flaw.
This is a great app that delivers plenty of fun. However, the commentary becomes repetitive (could do with adding just a few more audio clips to mix it up a bit), and there is a minor flaw who’s can be annoying. When in competition for the ball, if your player does not win the contest then your player runs away from the opponent, instead of staying close to offer the chance of a tackle. Does not stop me from playing the game though. 👍🏻
Low teammate AI
The players on your team always seem to be less intelligent than opposing players. They move into bad positions and don’t make themselves available. When you pass and they’re not 100% open, it will probably be intercepted as they won’t move towards the ball enough.
When players get the ball, they seem to dribble into dead ends and put you in less than ideal situations even when a good opportunity is available.
The shooting mechanics can be a bit all over the place sometimes. Keepers are very unpredictable too. They save ones that should be guaranteed goals, but miss some more straightforward attempts. Near post is nearly always a goal, far post is a save.
Tackling is absolutely atrociously broken. It’s impossible to get an effective one in, but the opposition can tackle perfectly every time.
Great concept for a game, could just do with some work on that aspect to make it more enjoyable.
Scripting ruining the game.
Has the potential to be a very enjoyable game but I’m about to delete. The scripting is just too frustrating. Like I got a new formation, a few player upgrades and tried some players out in new positions. I won around 10 or 12 games with only a couple of defeat and thought I had worked out my style of play. Since then I cannot win no matter what I do except for the odd win on penalties. Every time I pass to a player in the opposition half, I just know he is going to dribble till he either gets tackled or runs down a cul de sac and has no passing options. This is in stark contrast to my winning run where my players made good movement and clever decision making. I know realize my winning run was down to the game deciding to script for me during that period and against me after with what I do having very little impact on the result.
