Needs Fixing
The races are fun and great, but I discovered that you have to get a chest with a number on it depending on the place you're in when you finish, but I stopped getting those chests as an ad plays when I finish the race after the results, therefore I don't get my placement chest. I hope Sega Hardlight place their ads appropriately so this doesn't happen to me or any others again.

Battle Chests are awarded after each battle. There is a different Battle Chest for each finishing position, with first place containing the most rewards, and fourth place containing the least. A maximum of 20 Battle Chests can be earned each day. These chests will reset 24hr later after you have collected your first chest of the day.
A small but massive mess.
Whether you like the Sonic The Hedgehog series or not - I would not recommend playing this game, especially if you don’t like broken and disfunctional stuff. Stick to your emulators or even Sonic Dash.
Sonic forces speed battle has been a game I’ve played for a year. I’ve watched some bad things happen and some somewhat good things happen. The bad outweighs the good though. Things barely get tested upon implementation, tracks were changed and made the game item-heavy, and HARDlight are a very persistent company that do not believe things until you produce 10 minute videos of demonstration.
For a few examples of bad implementation - Bashosen (projectile), Wrench rush (boost), and their Christmas trap, the flu shot (trap), to name a few. These items have straight up ruined the experience, and one of which took 2 months alone to fix. The game can be fun if you decide to suspend all your rage and just become the problem, however.
Playing this game is discretionary, yes, but coming from someone who has excelled above the lame shenanigans that unfold in this mess, AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. Until they get their shoes on, I would not think to take this game seriously or to download it.
Room for improvement
It’s a very good game, I was a fan of the Sonic Dash series so I guess I am a bit biased. But if I was to make one suggestion, is to implement something I and I’m sure more thought would have been a feature. Racing your friends. When I saw the firsts trailers for this game, my thought was to get my friends together so we could compete, but I was disappointed to see it wasn’t a feature. Hopefully adding and racing friends will become a feature further down the line.
