Avoid TCP smart bulbs
Realise know that I should have gone for Philips or similar smart bulbs, more expensive but reliable. My TCP bulbs looses connection every six weeks or so, so lights simply flash until you connect via the App. As to the App itself, it crashes frequently and needs to be reinstalled. Overall then while the TCP smart bulbs are technically good as bulbs when they work, the smart bit is poorly implemented. I appreciate that if you are reading this you probably have already bought a TCP smart bulb(s) so you are like me faced with changing to a better product and putting this down to experience.
App continues to log out automatically
App is a nightmare, logs you out constantly and glitches when trying to log back in as “log in” selection doesn’t respond when tapped. The plug itself is great it’s just a pity the app renders it useless as every time you require it you have a lengthy process of trying to log yourself back in. Will not be buying anything from this brand again for fear of having to rely on this app for usage
